Privacy Policy

Dende's Match (the “App”, “we”) is a party game. We care deeply about your privacy and designed the App to run on as little data as possible. This policy explains what data is processed, why, and what your rights are.

The principle: your data stays on your phone

Player names and personality quiz answers never leave your device: they are computed and stored there, and deleting the App erases this personal data.

Totems, compatibilities and the “custom” cards are also generated locally, from a corpus bundled inside the App.

AI reading (premium option)

The “AI reading” is an optional premium feature: if you trigger it, the App generates a group presentation using artificial intelligence. Nothing is sent until you trigger it.

To protect your privacy, no first name is transmitted: each player is replaced by an anonymous label (Player 1, Player 2…), and the real first names are only shown again on your device.

What is sent:

  • anonymous labels (Player 1, 2…) instead of first names,
  • the totems, personality scores and compatibilities.

AI reading — recipient and retention

Your raw personality quiz answers are not sent.

The provider is Anthropic (the Claude model), whose servers are located in the United States: this is a transfer outside the EU, framed by European Commission standard contractual clauses.

The returned result (with no first name) is cached on our server for 30 days maximum, then deleted, so the AI is not re-run for the same group. Access goes through an anonymous session (a random identifier, with no name or email) that also limits abuse.

Data stored on your device

You can erase this data at any time by deleting the App.

  • Your language and your choice about anonymous analytics.
  • The current game (players, progress, scores) so you can resume it.
  • Personality quiz answers, for the duration of a game.

Anonymous usage analytics (with your consent)

If you allow it, we measure how the App is used with PostHog to understand which features are helpful and improve the game (e.g. screens visited, games started, layout testing).

These analytics are pseudonymized: they contain neither your name, nor player names, nor quiz answers. No advertising, no selling of data.

You can turn this tracking on or off at any time in Settings › Privacy. Without your consent, no analytics are sent.

Crash reports

To fix bugs, the App may send a technical report when it crashes (device model, system version, error trace) via Sentry. These reports are configured not to include identifying personal data.

Hosting and processors

We rely on providers acting on our behalf:

  • Supabase — server functions, anonymous session and AI-reading cache (European Union).
  • Anthropic (Claude) — premium AI reading (United States, framed transfer).
  • PostHog — usage analytics (European Union).
  • Sentry — crash reports.
  • OVH — host of the dendesmatch.app website (European Union).

Data transfers

We favor hosting located in the European Union. When a provider processes data outside the EU — this is the case for Anthropic (United States) for the premium “AI reading” — it does so under appropriate safeguards (European Commission standard contractual clauses).

Purposes and legal bases

  • Running the game and saving your session: performance of the service you request.
  • Premium “AI reading” (anonymized data sent to Anthropic): performance of the premium service you trigger.
  • Usage analytics: your consent.
  • Crash reports and security: our legitimate interest in providing a stable App.

Retention

Data on the device is kept for as long as you use the App; it is gone if you uninstall it. The AI-reading result is cached on our server for 30 days maximum, then deleted. Anonymous analytics are kept in aggregated form for tracking over time.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

Because the App can be used without an account and most data stays on your device, you already exercise much of these rights directly (turning analytics off, uninstalling). For any request, write to us at support@dendesmatch.app.

You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL — www.cnil.fr).

Minors

The App is not directed at young children, and we do not knowingly collect data about minors.

Data controller

The data controller is Armand Farra, publisher of the App (see the Legal Notice).

Changes

We may update this policy. In case of a significant change, we will inform you in the App. The last updated date appears at the top of this page.
